USARA Election News for July 2008
The candidate filing date, for this
year’s election of officers has passed. The following candidates have filed to
run for the offices as indicated below.
PRESIDENT: Ranger Linc German
VICE PRESIDENT LOGISTICS: Ranger
Craig Vanek
NATIONAL TREASURER: Ranger Bob Kvederas
CENTRAL REGION DIRECTOR: Ranger
NORTHERN REGION DIRECTOR: Ranger
Walter Eckhardt
*All of the above candidates are
current office holders seeking re-election.
The election packet, to include the
Ballot and Candidate Election Statements, is currently being processed for
distribution to all voting members of the Association. If you are a voting
member you should receive your election materials by 1 August. If you do not
received your election materials by that date, there is most likely one of two
reasons.
1. The association does not have
current contact information for you.
2. Your annual dues are not current.
In such cases you should contact
your Regional Director or The association’s Executive Vice President, who can
assist you in
obtaining an election packet. International
Region members have been authorized as a test to vote by e-mail in this year’s
election. If you are in this region, have a current e-mail address on file, and
have set your spam controls to accept e-mail from USARA, you will receive your
election materials by e-mail attachment. You can then returned
the completed Ballot by e-mail to the address noted on the Ballot. All voting members of the Association are
encouraged to vote in this year's election as an indication of your support for
the candidates who are running for election. Take the time to complete the
Ballot when you first receive it, and return it early on. If you should have

USARA Election 2008 News for June 2008
The time is rapidly approaching (20
June 2008) for potential candidates to file for running in the up coming
election. To remind you, the following positions are up for election this year.
President
Vice President Logistics
Treasurer
Northern Region Director
Central Region Director
To be a candidate in the election
you must be a voting member of the Association in good standing. Have the time
and interest in being an Association Officer. Be computer literate and willing
to do some traveling on Association business. Only members who reside in a
region can run for election to the position of Regional Director for that
Region. National Offices are open to all voting members.
How well an organization is managed
is measured by the interest shown by its members in the business of the
organization. USARA is no different. If you are up to the challenge of being an
association officer and leading the association into the future, let one of the
following members of the National Nominating Committee know. We would be glad
to assist you with the nomination process.

Voting
The 2008 election will take place
during the month of August prior to the September ARM
Ballots will be mailed out to all
voting members of the Association in good standing so as to arrive NLT than 1
August. The exception will be the members of the International Region, who on a
test case basis for this election have been authorized to vote by e-mail. For
those members of the International Region who have e-mail access their ballots
will be e-mailed to them with instructions for them to return their completed
ballot by e-mail.
Note: It is the responsibility of the
individual Ranger member to keep their contact information up to date with both
their Regional Director and the National Secretary. For annual members it is
also their responsibility to make sure their dues are current. If you do not
receive a ballot by mail or by e-mail by 1 August, and believe you should have
received one contact the National Secretary or the Executive Vice President.
