Brig. Gen. Bennet S. Sacolick will assume command of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School from Maj. Gen. Thomas R. Csrnko in a change of command ceremony here at the John F. Kennedy Plaza, 8:30am, August 17, 2010.
Lt. Gen. John F. Mulholland, commanding general of U.S. Army Special Operations Command, will deliver remarks during the event. Csrnko, a 36-year Army veteran and former commander of the U.S. Army Special Forces Command will also retire from the Army during the ceremony.
As the Army's primary Special Operations institution, SWCS manages training for three Army branches: Special Forces, Civil Affairs and Military Information Support. This training includes entry-level qualification and advanced tactical and leadership courses for the Army's seasoned Special Operators.
