Recreation Passport: A Recreation Passport is required for all motorized vehicles entering Michigan state parks (both campground and day use areas). The Recreation Passport is NOT included in your camping fees, and must be purchased either by checking yes when renewing a Michigan license plate with the Secretary of State, or as a window sticker when you enter the park. Resident passes are $11 or $5 for motorcycles (valid until the next license plate renewal), and nonresident passes are $31 for an annual pass (valid until Dec. 31) or $9 for a daily pass. Visit www.michigan.gov/recreationpassport for more details on how your Recreation passport funds are used to support recreation in Michigan—camping at parks and recreation areas, trailhead parking, boating access parking, day use, and scenic waterfall sites.
